L.G.R. La Polverosa Special Edition at André Opticas

                                                                                                               ..

With the help of experienced hunters, L.G.R. developed a specific model for hunting, which provides protection against high-impact forces around the eyes without compromising the hunter’s field of vision.

The frame, with “Dantesque” proportions, is made from Mazzucchelli acetate and, when worn, completely surrounds the eye area, resembling a ski mask. The yellow, photochromic polycarbonate lenses finish off the beauty of La Polverosa, allowing for enhanced vision of details, with lens color intensity adjusting according to the amount of light, either from the day or the surroundings.

La Polverosa is a valley in the Maremma region, at the heart of Tuscany, that remains untouched in a self-sustaining system relying only on its natural resources. In this place, the art of hunting is still practiced with the spirit of another era. The traditional values of a true hunter remain anchored in the past, as if La Polverosa were immune to the passage of time.

André Opticas Celebrates its 30th Anniversary with a Dress Made of Glasses

Founded in 1981, André Opticas is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary. An age that reflects the company’s maturity but, at the same time, seems like a short history for the many chapters already lived.

The brand’s DNA is clearly defined, as demonstrated by its journey. From pioneering initiatives such as limited edition collaborations with various artists, to being the first optical store in the country—and one of the few in Europe—with bespoke services for the most demanding clients, offering fully customized eyewear, to representing luxury brands that are often only available in around 20 stores worldwide.

With the opening of its flagship store on Avenida da Liberdade, André Opticas is a tribute to the world of high-end eyewear. With a collection of vintage pieces dating back to the 1920s, you can find a wide variety of items in its archives. To mark the occasion, on the day of the 30th anniversary, we will launch the first haute-couture dress made of glasses, in collaboration with the fashion designer João Rôlo.

Special Edition 1st Anniversary André Opticas Av. Liberdade 136

1st YEAR CELEBRATION EDITON

For the celebration of the first anniversary at Av. Liberdade nº136, we did more than just ‘toast’ the moment.
With the intention of marking the occasion with our continuous offer of ‘glasses for people from another world,’ we once again prepared a very special edition.

Made from Buffalo Horn.
A family of artisans with years of experience, in a small workshop in the Swiss Alps, handcrafts each piece. In an authentic made-to-order process, the piece is custom-made to your measurements and engraved with your name on the temple…

A unique piece, with the classy style of the 60s,
but with a personal touch from an edition created on Av. Liberdade.

Audrey Hepburn@Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Designed in 1952 by Raymond Stegeman, the Wayfarers would go on to become an icon…
Highly appreciated at the time, they already had a respectable fanbase when, in 1961, the diva Audrey Hepburn appeared
wearing a pair of black Wayfarers in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, along with many Oliver Goldsmith glasses, which were always Audrey’s great preference…

Herrlicht exclusive at André Opticas Lisboa

Since Andreas Licht began developing his eyewear collection a few years ago, Herrlicht has become

synonymous with wooden glasses. The combination of design and the craftsmanship employed in this collection is,

for us, the ultimate wooden eyewear collection.

With great respect for the natural texture and grain of each type of wood, the finished pieces are stunning,

both in appearance and comfort. Unfortunately, due to the time-consuming production process, we have received only around 50 pieces in the last five years.

You can’t have everything.
